Chestnut and Vine
A beautiful Block of the Month project, featuring Chestnut and Vine fabrics. The rich palette of russet, gold, pumpkin, sage and brown says holidays without an obvious holiday feel. This is a six month program. Kits include all fabric for the top, binding and the pattern by Vicki Bellino of Bloom Creek. Plus, Vicki, the Marcus Brothers Strip-It expert, introduces quilters to even more creative cutting and piecing techniques using unique pre-printed stripe fabric, an industry innovation. Do this either as a Block of the Month or complete kits are also available.

New Block of the Month Starting in June --- To The Stars!
|

Our new Saturday Square Dance $5.00 Block of the Month will start in June. To celebrate the 150th birthday of Kansas, we are doing a quilt featuring Star blocks. The Kansas motto is "Ad Astra per Aspera", meaning To the Stars with Difficulty. However, we are leaving the difficulty out of this program. Through the year, 12 different star blocks will be made. The rules are simple. Pay $5.00 the first month for your block kit. Return each month on either the second or third Saturday at 8:30 or 9:30 a.m. with your completed block and receive a new block kit for free. Can't make it? Simply pay $5.00 for your next block. Setting kits will be offered for sale at the end of the program.

Add a monthly appliqué to your Block of the Month for $7.00. Each month a Kansas based symbol will be offered in appliqué form. Sunflowers, buffalo, windmill and honey bees are just a few of the 12 different appliqué blocks that will be offered. And yes, these same symbols will work for Nebraska also!
Combine your stars and appliqué for a truly stunning quilt… or make two separate quilts. It's all up to you.

"TNT" Saturdays - Tips n Techniques Demo Days
Join us on the 4th Saturday of every month for our new Tips n Techniques session. Two sessions are offered 10:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. Sessions will last about 1 hour. During the hour, you will learn the basics of a particular quilting method. Every month will be a different topic. In addition, each participant will receive a 10% off coupon good for that day only.
These sessions are FREE. Just show up. |
